Post Office Opening Hours for May Bank Holidays

Most Post Office branches across the UK will be closed on the Early May Bank Holiday (Monday 5th May 2025) and the Spring Bank Holiday (Monday 26th May 2025). This applies to branches in England, Wales, and Scotland, as these dates are official bank holidays.

• England and Wales: The vast majority of Post Offices will not open on these bank holidays. Normal services will resume on the following day.
• Scotland: Scottish Post Office branches are also generally closed on these bank holidays, with normal operations resuming the next working day.

Exceptions:
Some branches located in supermarkets, convenience stores, or petrol stations may have different opening hours and could be open for limited services. However, these are exceptions, and most branches will be closed.
