Really disappointed with this new store, which offers nothing to restore my former faith in M & S. Much smaller inside than it looks from outside, shop floor very shallow from front to back, and food hall seems about the same size as old Greenock store. The lighting is dreadful - in parts, almost half-light and dull, and in other areas the positioning of the lightbulbs makes walking about unconfortably bright. Difficult to distinguish the colour of some clothes. And what a missed opportunity with the cafe! This was a chance to have an M & S cafe with the best view in the country overlooking the River Clyde and the hills beyond - but this tiny, basic facility looks on to the boring car park. M & S has really missed the mark here, with lots of potential left untapped. Altogether, not what I'd hoped it would be.
