Shortly before noon, I entered the store, I asked a very friendly supervisor for some Linda McCartney sausages, she put me in the correct direction. after that, I encountered an employee with a mug in hand, who thanked me for getting out of his way! only to hear him ask another employee if he could take a break.I found my items and proceeded to a manned checkout. The checkout was being operated by a mature lady with glasses and blond short hair ( I did not get her name) as I approached she was talking to an obvious friend who was in the basket area I waited a moment, then was told to put my basket in the area and she told her friend to step to one side so they could continue the conversation.|Her friend excused herself, and she very quickly began to scan my items. At no point did she welcome me, or make eye contact, after plonking my items down and not waiting for me to pack or again engaging me I was asked if I had a members card, I said no although I do, she did not ask if I wanted one just proceeded to take payment plonked my receipt on the top of my goods and without a thank you left the area!As a member, we rely on members and repeat customers for the business to succeed.I have had a wonderful shopping experience there from a very friendly engaging young male serever, but if I see this woman again I would feel I should avoid her as the experience was not in any way positive!!My membership number xxxxxxxx and I have recently moved to the area and not updated my details, although I will. This may be a small out of town business but I expect the same level of service I found from other stores in prominent areas.I have a customer centred business and if I greeted and served my clients this way I would not have a business.I don't care if she didn't like the look of me or saw my annoyed face when her friend was given precedence over my custom.Yours sincerelyTracy Cox
